Monarch Hotel Conference Center

We went to a Watch Show being held at the Monarch. The lobby and restaurant/bar are nice and well decorated. The rooms are a bit dated, the fan in the bathroom was very loud and came on with the light so I hated to turn the lights on at night bc I didn’t want to wake my husband. Our keurig didn’t work but it got replaced and the gentleman that brought it was very nice. All in all it wasn’t bad but could have been better.

Conference room was under construction. Layout was a bit off compared to traditional hotel layouts. After construction I could see it being a nice place.

We stayed here along with 56 other guests for our wedding and the rooms are all beautifully remodeled! Service could not have been more phenomenal and everyone was so accommodating. I highly highly recommend if you are looking for a place to book a room block for your wedding. Our shuttle was able to pull up right in front and the bar even stayed open late for our after party!! Thank you especially to Karmen!

We stayed at the Monarch Hotel in Portland, OR for two nights during our road trip from CA to Seattle. Both times, our rooms were spotlessly clean, and the staff was incredibly courteous, ensuring we had restful nights before hitting the road again. The hotel's location is excellent, close to shops and offering easy access to downtown with just a short drive.

New Hilton Garden Inn and renovated rooms are beautiful! Food is ALWAYS delicious are hard to choose, but whatever you get is fantastic. Location is great! Walk to the mall and other are restaurants and Target, Chick-Fil-A. This location has everything and can hold large meetings.

We stayed at the Monarch Hotel one night for an awards banquet. Our first impression as we pulled up to the hotel was that the exterior looked a bit "tired", but the interior was very nice for an older hotel. All of the hotel staff were very helpful, bar was fun and convenient, food at the banquet was much better than typical for this type of event. Room was not fancy but everything was clean. Overall a very good choice for this type of event.

Every thing was great except for the heating/cooling thermostat which was very difficult to set up, even after the construction manager tried to set it up! Whenever the heat went off it would blow super cold refrigerated air!! Yes, the construction was very noisy during the day but tolerable. We stayed there for 4 nights in September during the construction.

Hotel is still under renovations as of 08/08/2025. Starting exactly at 8am, you'll hear lots of construction and banging. If you want to sleep in, this isn't the hotel for you. Also, they charge $10/night for parking, while most other hotels offer free parking. Factor that into your per night cost. I'd say overall 4/5 stars. -1 for parking fee, construction (not advertised at booking or mentioned at check in), and lack of hot water (it was luke warm).
